Protein Expression

We provide integrated support for construct design and protein expression using advanced bioinformatics and modeling tools. Multiple expression systems (bacterial, insect, mammalian) and scalable workflows enable efficient optimization from small-scale screening to liter-scale production.

Service Options:

• Costruct design: support in construct and expression strategy design is offered by applying advanced bioinformatic, structure prediction and modeling tools.
• Expression plasmid preparation: a library of different expression vectors is available for E.coli, insect cells and mammalian systems; subcloning in expression vectors is done using LIC, SLIC or standard ER methods; a list of different E.coli strains are available for expression testing; for insect cell system we use Sf9 and H5; for mammalian HEK298 cells are the standards.
• Bacmid and baculovirus stock preparation: baculovirus generation is mostly transposition-based, but recombination-based is also in use if needed. 
• Small scale expression screening and optimization: small scale expression optimization is miniaturized in multiwell plates.
• Scale up expression: scale up for final biomass delivery is done in the 1-10 L scale.
• Biomass production.
