09 September 2025
09:30 – 17:00
Congress Centre, Area Science Park, Padriciano 99, Trieste, Italy
Artificial intelligence is opening new perspectives in virus research, providing advanced tools to analyze viral evolution and to understand protein structure and dynamics on a large scale.
To explore the latest progress in the application of Protein Language Models — which allow scientists to investigate sequence variability, reveal structural diversity, and infer protein function—Area Science Park organizes the workshop “AI in Virology: Leveraging AI to Advance Our Understanding of Viruses”.
The workshop will be held on September 9, 2025 at the Conference Center of the Padriciano Campus in Trieste. The workshop will showcase how these tools can be applied to anticipate viral adaptation and support the development of therapeutic strategies, contributing to a deeper understanding of viral mechanisms.
The workshop, part of the PRP@CERIC project funded through PNRR, will bring together leading international experts at the intersection of artificial intelligence and molecular virology.
