Isolation and purification of homogenous protein samples (incl. protein-protein and protein-nucleic acid complexes) in quantity and quality for biochemical, biophysical and structural biology characterization.
Proteins are produced in small to large scale amounts (from ng to mg) at high purity grade (range 95-99%).
All standard purification techniques are available, including affinity chromatography (AC), ion exchange (IEX) and size exclusion chromatography (SEC) using fast protein liquid chromatography (FPLC). Analytical scale purification and design of optimal purification protocols are done on ӒKTA Pure Micro; Preparative scale preps are done on ӒKTA pure T 25 system.
Once purified, protein quality checks are paramount. Typical controls include purity and integrity analysis via SDS-PAGE, and homogeneity, monodispericty and oligomerization status are detected by analytical SEC.
Details of integrity and post translational modifications are assessed by HPLC-ESI MS analysis
